Pustular psoriasis הוא מצב עור נדיר הנגרם על ידי מערכת החיסון, המתבטא בפצעונים צהבהבים על רקע של כתמים אדומים, והוא עשוי להיראות שונה אצל כל אדם. הוא קשור לפסוריאזיס רגיל, אך יש לו תכונות משלו. פצעונים אלה יכולים להתפשט או להישאר באיזור אחד, ובדרך כלל מלווה בהם ריבוי תאי דם לבנים. בניגוד לפסוריאזיס הרגילה, שבה מופיעים כתמים יבשים וקשקשים, פסוריאזיס פוסטולרית מרגישה לעתים קרובות בכאב כאשר נוגעים בה.
Pustular psoriasis is a rare, immune-mediated systemic skin disorder characterized by yellowish pustules on an erythematous base with a variety of clinical presentations and distribution patterns. Pustular psoriasis is considered a variant of psoriasis vulgaris. The pustules can be widespread or localized and are characterized by a sterile predominantly neutrophilic infiltrate. Unlike chronic plaque psoriasis (the most common variant of psoriasis vulgaris), lesions of pustular psoriasis are often tender to palpation.

Pustular psoriasis is a rare and extreme form of psoriasis characterized by the appearance of sterile pustules which can take many patterns. All the main pathological features of the disease are accentuated. Generalized pustular psoriasis is clinically heterogeneous in its age at onset, precipitants, severity, and natural history. Many overlapping clinical entities are recognized. There is a relationship between these entities and plaque psoriasis, as some individuals may have episodes of plaque psoriasis preceding or following the generalized pustular psoriasis, but in others generalized pustular psoriasis occurs as the sole phenotype without plaque psoriasis at any time.
